3 Cruise Ships You Need to Board Before You Die
Man cannot resist the urge to travel. Partly because we want to escape, even just for awhile, our daily routines and the usual environment that is present. And the perfect getaway is to board a luxurious cruise ship and enjoy the voyage.
Currently, these are the largest and the most wanted commercial cruise ships in the world.
MS Oasis of the Seas made headlines all over the world not as the current largest cruise ship but when it squeezed itself under a bridge in Denmark with barely 2 feet of clearance on its maiden voyage. The ship measures 1,181 ft long, can accommodate 6,300 passengers and 2,100 crew members and is said to be five times larger than the Titanic.
The ship features a zip-line, a casino, a mini-golf course, four swimming pools, volleyball and basketball courts, theme parks and nurseries for children. It also boasts seven “neighborhoods” that offer recreational, athletic, and entertainment activities.
Named after the historical Queen Mary, Queen Mary 2 was the largest ship by the time it was constructed in 2003. It is 1,132 ft long with 13 passenger decks that can carry 1,620 passengers and 1,253 officers and crew. Extravagant dining rooms, ballrooms, theatres, lounges and a planetarium can be found aboard the ship where ordinary travelers can feel like royalty during their voyage. It may not be the largest cruise ship but it remains as the largest ocean liner to date.
Owned by the same company that owns the Oasis of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas was the largest cruise ship ever built until the construction of the ship mentioned above.
This cruise ship weighs 160,000 tons, it is 1,112 feet long, 184 feet wide and it has 15 passenger decks holding 3,634 guests double-occupancy. Freedom of the Seas towers 208 feet tall, approximately the same height as two of the Statue of Liberty, placed head to toe. Freedoms of the Seas also has two more sisters in the Freedom class: MS Liberty of the Seas and MS Independence of the Seas.

The Oasis of the Seas looks huge. I hope it wont end up like Titanic though.
